Super Pressure Balloon Flight, November 16, 2020
SPOC Project, SPOC-1
California Near Space Project (CNSP) launched a Super Pressure Balloon from Silicon Valley California on Monday, November 16, 2020, flight # SPOC-1, with a float altitude of 16.5 km.
SPOC-1 is testing a new Scientific Balloon Solutions machine seamed multi-gore Super Pressure Balloon for the SPOC Project, Super Pressure Orbiting Communications. This flight is proof of concept for the new machine seamed multi-gore technology. This flight is using a solar powered WSPR version of the Skytracker.
